The mixer unit is situated remotely to the shower controls and shower head, usually in the loft space or airing cupboard. The mixing unit is controlled by the user panel in the shower area and sends its commands to the mixing unit either by a wireless connection or a fibre optic cable. The unit then blends the hot & cold water together before sending it to the shower head. With the use of wireless technology, digital showers (in most cases) can be installed retrospectively to your shower area without the need to damage any tiling
