History and heritage A forward thinking company

Established in 1921, Mira has been leading the way in UK showering for decades. In 1937 they introduced the world’s first ever thermostatic shower, designed specifically for hospitals and schools. Mira shower mixer valves quickly became the standard equipment for the shower market and in 1959 they unveiled the first thermostatic shower for domestic use. Ever since then their showers have remained firm favourites with households across the UK.

Recently acquired by Kohler Co, a leading American bathroom and kitchen manufacturer, they still remain true to their founding principles of quality engineering and innovative design. Thanks to their rigorous attention to detail and groundbreaking research and development, their products are now available in over 40 countries worldwide.

Mira Mixer Showers

Mixer showers take water from both hot and cold water supplies. They mix the hot and cold to reach a desired temperature. They generally flow faster than electric showers. If you have a low pressure gravity water system, you can make the flow more forceful by adding a Mira pump. Mixer showers ideal for homes with a plentiful supply of hot water.

 

Mira Electric Showers

Electric showers only take water from the mains cold water supply. They heat the water when you turn the shower on, by passing it over a heating element inside the shower - in a similar way to how a kettle works. When you shower, you don't use up and stored hot water - so electric showers are ideal for families and households where there is a limited supply of hot water. Electric showers are always ready to use, any time of the day or night. *With its integral pump, Mira Elite ST has all the convenience of electric showering but from a low pressure stored supply

 

Mira Power Showers

Power showers take water from both the hot and cold water supplies. They mix the hot and cold to reach the desired temperature. They produce a more impressive spray force than mixer or electric showers, because an internal pump boosts the water flow. They are ideal for homes with a plentiful supply of hot water.

 

Mira Digital Showers

The shower control and the water mixer have digital intelligence built-in. Digital mixer showers take water from both the hot and cold water supplies. They mix the hot and cold water to accurately reach the desired temperature. You can choose a pumped or high pressure version. Digital showers are ideal for homes with a plentiful supply of hot water.
