Infra-red on/off switch*

Long life LED's - life expectancy 60,000 hours continuous use
IMPORTANT - all mirrors featuring infrared technology must be mounted a minimum of 150mm from an adjacent wall or obstruction to ensure correct function of the infrared sensor.
While the main function of this is obviously as a mirror, the built in LED's provide enough light to light up a small shower-room. Although I don't use this product as the principle light source, it does provide enough light so as not to require the main light to be switched on when making a 'quick' visit (thus no automatic fan coming on).
The infra-red hand wave to switch on/off to the side of the unit is a good feature; resulting in a clean sharp look without 'fussy' switches being present on the unit (I have wired mine up to a separate light switch located outside the shower-room to also enable it to be isolated electrically if required.) The location of the infra-red 'switch' on the unit is moveable and instructions are provided on how to do this if required to suit your own installation.
Relatively expensive for a mirror, although it’s comparable with other lit LED mirrors. Overall the price is worth paying if you are looking for a wow factor to set off a modern shower/bathroom.
