Not all baths have 2 tap holes, these days their just as likely have 0,1,3 or 4 tap holes. If you have a bath with 4 tap holes it isn’t so you can have 2 set of bath taps fitted, its to accommodate the huge range of bath taps available to you.
At Bella Bathrooms we have brought together a collection of our favourite bath taps, by our favourite manufactures. Some of our ranges offer more than 1 choice of bath taps, so here is an easy guide to the different types of bath taps available from Bella Bathrooms:
Pillar Bath Taps: A separate bath tap for hot and cold, all of our traditional bath taps offer this style as well as some of our own collections. Requires a bath with two tap holes
Bath Mixer Taps: The hot and cold bath taps are bridged together and the water comes out of a single spout. The controls give the option for cold, hot or mixed water. Very common to have a single lever control in modern bath mixer taps and separate controls in traditional bath mixer taps. Either 2 or 3 tap holes required.
Bath Shower Mixer Taps: This bath tap works in the same way as the bath mixer tap mentioned above, but also has an integral diverter which when selected will send the water to a shower head instead of the spout. This is still the housewives favourite type of bath tap, as it allows the easy washing of hair whilst in the bath.
Wall Mounted Bath Taps: as the title suggests these taps are mounted above the bath on the wall, with the spout of the bath tap overhanging the bath. Wall mounted bath taps mainly come as bath mixer taps or bath shower mixer taps. Please be aware some of the bath taps are to be recessed into the wall.
Single Hole Bath Filler: This bath mixer tap which only requires one tap hole in your bath, works in the same way as your bath mixer tap but is a great additional to any small bath where ledge space is at a premium,
Single Hole Bath Shower Mixer: The same as the single hole bath filler, this bath mixer tap also has an integral diverter that when selected will send the water to a shower head instead of the spout of the bath tap.
