Shower Cubicles

Choosing a shower cubicle can depend on many factors – size, style, design, colour, cost etc. It’ll also be with you for years on a daily basis so making that decision isn’t something that you enter into lightly.

Here at Bella Bathrooms we offer a large selection of shower cubicles to choose from such as corner units with fold-away bifold shower doors, quadrant cubicles with sliding doors and hinged shower doors units. All are of the highest quality and from the most reputable manufacturers of shower cubicles we could source.

Here’s our run down on what you need to consider if you’re in the market for a shower cubicle:

Apart from the cost, this is probably the biggest influence in your choice. As well as measuring out where your shower will go in your bathroom (floor and wall-wise), remember to factor in the space required by the door if it’s a hinged version you’re thinking about. And ensure those measurements are accurate.

If you have plenty of space in your bathroom think about how often you’ll use that shower (some of us are actually bath lovers). If you’re the type who enjoys a daily shower then it might be worth investing in a shower cubicle that has more space and is nearer the top of the range. After all, you’re certainly going to get your money’s worth.

Bearing in mind your answer to the first question ie size, it’s certainly worth shopping around to see if you can get the best price. At Bella Bathrooms we’re pretty confident you won’t be able to match our prices anywhere else.

Remember though when it comes to budgeting that you’ll also have to factor in the cost of plumbing.

If the shower is going to be used by an elderly relative or child then it might be an idea to ensure there are grips on the tray to avoid anyone slipping. Think about the shower doors too – are they easy to open? If so there’s less chance of them being broken or of someone falling by thrusting forward to open a door.

Most shower enclosures are pretty neutral in design but it’s possible to buy them with coloured trim or chrome hinges as well as patterned and frosted glass. Bevelled glass and curved shower doors are very ‘in’ at the moment and they do add a certain modern sophistication to your bathroom, as well as allowing for more room. Frameless cubicles tend to look very minimalist and give the impression of more space in the bathroom. Shower trays too can be extra low to fit in with that minimalist look.

You’ll find that most shower doors and panelling are constructed from safety glass which has been specially treated to withstand wear and tear. As a result it’s likely that your shower cubicle will last you for years.

Whatever design and make of shower cubicle you choose here at Bella Bathrooms we’re sure that after a week or two you’ll realize you should have done it years ago!
