That's why Bella Bathrooms offer a wide range of basins in various shapes and styles to suit any number of different bathroom spaces.

Bathroom Sinks

Bathroom basins, also referred to as sinks, are an essential part of any bathroom. One of the main jobs of a washbasin is promoting hygiene. Washing your hands, especially after using the toilet is very important for reducing the spread of germs and bacteria. Basins provide a designated place to wash hands and face and perform other daily hygiene rituals. For families, the availability of a basin in more than one room makes morning routines run more smoothly. By filling a basin with water as opposed to letting the tap run, you can reduce water wastage, which will be just as beneficial for your wallet as it is for the environment.

Our collection includes a variety of wash basins that cater to different styles and bathroom sizes, ensuring you find the perfect fit for your space.

Sinks For Bathrooms

Whether you're revamping an old, dated bathroom or designing a new ensuite, you can guarantee a basin is on your shopping list. We offer an extensive collection so you can be sure to find the right sink for your space. Our attractive range includes

Compact Basins

If you have a small space you need to equip with a basin you might want to take a look at our small basin selection. These compact beauties are designed to fit into small spaces but still allow the user to complete their hygiene routine. From space saving corner sinks, that can be placed in an otherwise overlooked area of the room, to a small countertop basin to sit neatly on top of a small vanity unit, they offer all the benefits of a standard size basin, but on a smaller scale.

Basins With A Pedestal

These basins are a classic choice and are usually used in a traditional style bathroom for a timeless look. The main advantage of the basin with a pedestal is that the pedestal will hide away any unsightly pipework, to give your bathroom a more designer minimalist look. Available with a full or semi pedestal they don't provide a storage area, just a crisp clean look.

Wall Mounted Basins

As the name suggests, wall mounted basins are attached directly to the wall, creating a modern and spacious feel to your space. A small wall hung basin in a compact space would free up valuable floor space and make the room feel larger than it actually is. These basins are seen to be easier to clean around as there are no pedestal for dirt to hide behind.

Countertop Basins

A countertop basin would sit on top of a vanity unit or counter creating a modern, stylish focal point in the room. Countertop basins can be more comfortable as their position on a worktop reduces strain on the shoulders and neck.

Semi Recessed Basins

A semi recessed basin is usually found with fitted bathroom furniture and counter tops. Designed to be fitted into the worktop, the front of the basin projects outwards, creating a larger useable basin area.

Double Basins

Perfect for those who are lucky enough to have a large bathroom, a double basin can be a game changer in a busy family bathroom where two or more people need to get ready together to rush out to work or to do the school run. Double vanity units with basins can also provide a good amount of storage space for toiletries, towels, and other bathroom essentials.

Inset Basins

An inset basin is fitted sunken into a worktop or vanity unit, creating the illusion of being one complete unit without visible joins. Inset basins are popular in modern bathroom spaces because they create a sleek, uninterrupted look.

Bathroom Basins

Most basins, except the countertop and inset varieties, feature either one tap hole for a mixer tap or two tap holes for a pair of pillar taps. Countertop and some inset basins have no space for tap holes so are designed to be used with tall taps or wall mounted taps. Check out our range of stunning basin taps to complete your look. As well as choosing your perfect sink, you can customise the accessories, from the basin taps and bottle traps to overflow covers and wastes, to suit your personal style too. Choose a colour that matches that of the basin or something different to create a striking contrast. If your basin has an overflow you will need a slotted waste, if it is without an overflow you will need an unslotted waste.

Our basins are made from high quality materials, and blend in seamlessly with any bathroom decor. From modern style squared or rounded sinks with their smooth, straight lines or fluted edges to traditional styles with their ornate details, curves and pedestals or metal frames we have lots of these bathroom ceramics to complement your personal style. There is just something so dreamy about a traditional style basin on a chrome wash stand. Whether you want to create a contemporary look or you would prefer something traditional, you can be sure to find exactly what you're looking for. With a wide range of colours like the classic gloss white to matt black, brass, bronze and gunmetal, basins create a stunning focal point that will start many a conversation with guests.

Our basins are made by well known companies like, Rak Ceramics, Hudson Reed, Nuie, Frontline Bathrooms, Scudo, Kartell and more, who are leading brands in bathroom manufacturing. Whether you opt for a classic pedestal and basin or a modern countertop design, you can ensure it reflects your style and meets your practical needs.

When choosing a basin there are a few things to consider

Basin Style: The style of the basin should complement the decor and vice versa. A modern basin might look out of place in a Victorian or Edwardian style bathroom in the same way that an ornate traditional basin does in a modern space. If storage is necessary, look for vanity units with a basin or worktop that can be used with a countertop basin. This popular combination provides space for toiletries and other bathroom essentials in addition to washing facilities.

Basin Size: The basin size should be in proportion to the room and should fit comfortably without causing an obstruction. Even in a compact room you should be able to stand and move around comfortably without bumping into projecting basins. In smaller bathroom spaces, wall-mounted or corner basins can save space and make a big difference to the comfort of the room. Check the depth of the basin to ensure you can fill it to the required depth to complete your hygiene routine. Our compact basins start at around 250mm and the size range from that up to 850mm for a single basin and double basins are around 1200 combined. Some of our furniture packs feature L-shape or P-shape basins which are essentially a basin and worktop combined. These sit across the top of a vanity and WC unit pack - creating a united package without a gap or space.

Functionality: Think about the functionality of the sink, including the number of users and the type of things it will be used for. A double basin might be better for a busy family bathroom, while a compact basin could be perfect for a small en-suite.

Material And Finish: Ceramic, as is porcelain, is a popular choice for bathroom basins. These materials are easy to clean and resist scratches and stains. Their smooth, glossy white finish adds a touch of light and elegance to any bathroom decor. This finish also renders them easy to clean, they just need a wipe over with a clean cloth to keep them looking as good as new. Natural stone basins, such as marble can be more expensive. They will require more maintenance, but their distinctive patterns and colourings add a unique touch. Metal Basins are known for their strength and resistance to cracks and chips. They retain the heat of hot water for longer - to save having to keep topping it up. These basins go well in modern or industrial style rooms.

Price: Check that the price of the sink you want fits within your budget. Our basins are priced so that everyone can find the item they need to create their ideal space without breaking the bank. We're sure to have the basin you want at a price you can afford.

Positioning: Consider the location of your other bathroom fixtures, like the toilet, bath or shower cubical, to ensure the positioning of your basin does not affect the way you use it. For example, would it get in the way of an opening shower door or prevent a bath screen from swinging out onto the room for cleaning.

Hand Basins For Bathrooms

You're not just choosing a basin, you're creating a space you'll enjoy for years to come. The benefits of the often overlooked bathroom basin are more than it just being a vessel to hold water. From promoting hygiene and convenience to improving the visual appeal of a bathroom, it's an essential part of any home. Basins also need taps, and we have a vast range of those, too, to complete your washing space.
